Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Dave Fenil Hiteshbhai, trading as Bhramaa Technologies ("we", "us"), the maker of ProtaLine. By using ProtaLine you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use ProtaLine.
1. Who these terms are for
ProtaLine has two kinds of users:
- Shops: salons and barbershops that subscribe to ProtaLine to run bookings, the live queue and payments. Section 3 applies to them.
- Customers: people who book at a shop through a ProtaLine web link or the ProtaLineapp on Android or iOS. Section 4 applies to them.
Everything else applies to everyone. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older, or use ProtaLine with a parent or guardian.
- Give accurate details and keep your login and one-time codes private.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
- A shop owner is responsible for the staff accounts they create and for what their staff do in ProtaLine.
3. Terms for shops
Subscription and prices
ProtaLine is sold as a subscription. The price and the features included are as shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices are in Indian rupees (INR). GST is added at the applicable rate and shown on your invoice. You can download a GST tax invoice for every payment from Settings › Billing.
Free trial
New shops get a 14-day free trial of the subscription they pick. You do not need a payment method to start. Before the trial ends, we remind you to add one. If you do not, your account pauses at the end of the trial. Your data is kept.
Billing
- Monthly subscriptions are paid by a UPI AutoPay mandate. The first debit is on the last day of the trial, then every month.
- Annual subscriptions are paid upfront as a one-time payment. They do not renew on their own. We remind you before they end.
- We show the exact amount and date of the next charge before you approve any mandate.
- If a payment fails, we retry and remind you. If it stays unpaid for 7 days, the account is suspended and becomes read-only until you pay. Bookings already made by customers are always honoured.
Changing or cancelling
You can change your subscription or cancel from the app at any time, without contacting us. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Changing your subscription never deletes your data. After you cancel, we keep your shop's data for 90 days so you can come back, then delete it. Payment, invoice and settlement records are kept for 8 years, as tax law requires.
Refunds of subscription fees
Subscription fees are refunded only for a charge made in error or a duplicate charge. There are no pro-rata refunds for part-used months or years. To claim, email support@bhramaatechnologies.com within 30 days of the charge. We repay an accepted claim in full within 7 working days.
Your money and the payment gateway
- Payments from your customers (booking fees, bills, tips) are collected by our payment gateway partner and settled directly to your bank account. We never hold your money.
- To receive payments, you must complete the gateway's onboarding and KYC and accept its terms. The gateway's fees are deducted as it sets them.
- Your bank account number and IFSC are passed to the gateway for checking. We do not store them.
- Your subscription payments to us are a separate flow and never mix with your customers' money.
Your responsibilities
- You provide the services your customers book. You set your services, prices, hours, booking fee and cancellation window, and you are responsible for them.
- You use customer data only to serve your customers and as the law allows, including the DPDP Act, 2023.
- You handle your own taxes on what you earn from customers.
4. Terms for customers
Your booking is with the shop
When you book, your agreement for the haircut or other service is with the shop, not with us. The shop sets the services, prices, timings and rules. ProtaLine is the tool that takes the booking and runs the queue. We are not a party to the service and are not responsible for its quality. Raise service issues with the shop first.
Queue times are estimates
Wait times and queue positions are best estimates. They can change when earlier visits run long or the shop changes the order.
Booking fee
Some shops ask for a booking fee to hold your slot. The shop decides whether to charge one, how much, and its cancellation window. You see the amount and the window before you confirm.
- The fee is held, not charged, through a UPI mandate you approve in your UPI app.
- If you turn up, the held amount is charged when your visit is done. It comes off your bill when you visit. You pay the rest of the bill at the shop.
- If you cancel before the shop's window, the hold is released and nothing is charged.
- If you cancel within the window, or do not turn up, the shop charges the held amount. We tell you before you confirm a late cancellation, and send you a message if a no-show charge is made.
- If the shop cancels your booking, the shop decides whether your booking fee is returned; it is returned unless the shop says otherwise at the time of cancelling. We tell you which happened.
- The fee is paid to the shop, not to us. Only the shop can decide to refund it.
Changes by the shop
A shop may offer you an earlier time, propose a new time, or cancel if an artist is away. You can accept or keep your booking where offered. If the shop cancels, see Booking fee above for what happens to a held fee.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- make fake or repeated bookings, or book to block slots;
- use another person's phone number or account;
- harass shop staff or customers, or post abusive ratings or notes;
- try to access data that is not yours, probe our security, or overload the service;
- copy, scrape or resell ProtaLine or its data;
- use ProtaLine for anything unlawful, including spam messages.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it is fair to do so, we warn you first.
6. Our service
We work to keep ProtaLine available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". It may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of outages at our providers, such as messaging or payment services. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove a feature a paying shop relies on, we will give reasonable notice.
ProtaLine, its software, design and brand belong to us. Shops keep ownership of their own business data.
7. Limits of our liability
- We are not liable for the services a shop provides, or for disputes between a shop and its customers.
- We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost business or lost data, or for delays caused by events outside our control.
- For everyone, shops and customers alike, our total liability is limited to 1,000 rupees (₹1,000).
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
8. Ending use
You can stop using ProtaLine at any time. Customers can delete their account in the app under Profile → Delete account. Shops can cancel from Settings › Billing. Sections on liability, payments owed and governing law continue after an account ends.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell you by email, message or in the app at least 14 days before any change takes effect. If you keep using ProtaLine after that, the new terms apply.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Rajkot, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Grievances and contact
For any complaint about ProtaLine, contact our grievance officer, Fenil Dave, at support@bhramaatechnologies.com. For general help, email support@bhramaatechnologies.com or see our Support page.
We acknowledge a grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days. Support hours are Monday to Saturday, India time (IST), and we reply within 1 business day.
